For a long time, there was a large vacant lot on Michurinskaya Street. However, in 1985, Victory Park was laid out there, which remains the largest park in Tambov to this day. As the name suggests, the park's theme is clear, featuring numerous memorial plaques, monuments, and military equipment. Here, you can see not only tanks and artillery from the Great Patriotic War but also much later models of military hardware.
One of the most recognizable landmarks in Victory Park is the monument depicting a veteran sitting on a bench with his granddaughter. Just a few years ago, such a scene could be seen everywhere, as veterans used to come to this park with their grandchildren not only for Victory Day celebrations but also on ordinary weekdays.
